The Lake Logan Triathlon is one of the most beautiful events in the country. While most in the Southeast are racing in hot, oppressive conditions, Lake Logan offers a welcome break from the heat and humidity. The cool morning air in the Appalachian mountains makes for a comfortable race day with highs last year topping out near 80 degrees. Another welcome treat to those familiar with Western North Carolina is the strange absense of any major climbs. In fact the bike and run are mostly flat with only one small ascent coming at the beginning and end of the bike.
